LAX airport proving increasingly popular

According to recently released figures, the number of passengers that have been passing through the hugely popular LAX airport has increased year on year, reflecting the increasing popularity of this international travel hub. The airport has reported that in April there was a significant rise in the number of passengers passing through the terminal.

Over the course of April this year more than five million passengers are said to have passed through LAX, which reflected an increase of 7.2 percent compared to the same month last year. In a breakdown of the figures, airport officials stated that almost 3.7 million of these passengers were boarding domestic flights, which was an increase of 7 percent compared to April of last year.

During the first four months of this year close to 19 million passengers have passed through LAX airport, which is a 3.8 percent increase compared to the first four months of 2010.

LAX has become a popular choice for travelers for a number of reasons. The airport offers many facilities such as Internet services, eateries, places to have a drink, and shops.
